Riftline Migrate · Client 0.10.0
Move the user.
Verify the handoff.
Download the same portable Windows app on both PCs. Create the migration on the new PC, pair the old PC with a one-time code, then migrate locally or through the encrypted relay.
Technician workflow
One app on both PCs.
The role you choose controls what happens next. No separate source and destination installers.
Create the migration.
Choose New PC and create a short-lived migration code.
Scan and pair.
Scan the user workspace, enter the code from the new PC, and pair the source.
Choose local or remote.
Use USB/network storage locally or the encrypted Zeah relay when the PCs are off-site.
Restore and finish.
Decrypt if needed, restore core folders, and review remaining technician handoff items.
Off-site migration
Encrypted before it leaves the source PC.
The PCs exchange ephemeral ECDH P-256 public keys. The source encrypts transfer chunks locally with AES-GCM. The relay stores ciphertext temporarily and the destination decrypts locally.
Migration scope
Profile-aware, not just folder-aware.
Riftline Migrate 0.10.0 separates data restore from user handoff and now verifies mapped-drive handoff too. It can capture mappings from logged-out profiles, stage them into the destination hive, reconnect with the destination user identity, and report unreachable or credential-required shares without copying saved passwords.
